Issue a visa to visit Greece
Greece is a member of the European Union and part of the Schengen Area. To visit Greece, you’ll need a Schengen visa, which is a short-stay visa allowing travel within Schengen member countries for up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes.
The Schengen visa is the most commonly used visa for Europe, enabling holders to enter, travel freely, and exit the Schengen zone from any member country.
If you plan to stay in Greece or any other Schengen country for more than 90 days, you must apply for a national visa specific to that country, known as a “type D visa” in Greece.
